Nathan Capps
Campus Minister

Nathan grew up in Jasper, Tennessee, and was introduced to Jesus Christ during his senior year of high school. That encounter sparked a life-changing transformation and a deep passion for helping others discover the hope and purpose found in Christ. After spending two years immersed in Scripture, discipleship, and ministry, he enrolled at Faulkner University to pursue a degree in Bible.
While at Faulkner, Nathan served as a youth ministry intern at churches in Pensacola, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia. However, it was his involvement with Landmark Campus Ministry under the leadership of Wes Gunn that confirmed his calling to college ministry. Nathan began serving as a student intern at Landmark in 1999, completed a two-year ministry internship after graduating from Faulkner, and joined the Landmark staff full-time in 2003.
Nathan considers his college years—and the opportunity to invest in college students ever since—to be among the greatest blessings of his life. His passion for reaching those who are far from God is rooted in his own conversion story and a desire to see others experience the abundant life Jesus offers.
Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Youth and Family Ministry from Faulkner University and has completed graduate studies in Counseling at Troy University.
When he is not spending time with students, Nathan enjoys woodworking, listening to the Dave Matthews Band, watching Alabama football, quoting episodes of The Office, and spending time on the lake with family and friends. Nathan and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for many years and are the proud parents of three children: Ethan, Evan, and Ellie Jo.
